I am a native of Merced and have been a part of this community for many years. I worked in the corporate world of telecommunications with Pacific Telephone and retired with over 28 years of service. The Merced area had started growing when UC Merced was announced, which open the doors for a new opportunity. I received my Real Estate License in 2003 and started my new career in Subdivision Sales, where I stayed for over 5 years. The local market started to shift and I decided to move into Residential Resale, where I currently am now.
When I am not doing Real Estate, I like spending time with my husband of 38 years and my two children. We love to attend car shows, as we have a restored Convertible Corvette Sting Ray. Originally from the Central Valley, I was raised in Newark in the Bay Area. In 1998 I moved my family to Merced to continue my 24 year career in Long term Care.
When my daughter was 3 years old I took a job in a local nursing home. For the next 15 years I worked as a nursing assistant, in medical records and finally the business office.
I was offered the position of A/P – Payroll Consultant and spent the next 9 years in Long Term Care as a consultant and Corporate Trainer. The best part of my job was meeting new people and being able to provide the training they needed to be successful in their own jobs.
When I decided to make the transition to real estate, I took a temporary job at our local Gottschalks in the gift wrap area. After 6 months I was promoted to Area Manager. I enjoyed my job so much I ended up spending 3 more years managing the Men’s, Children’s, Lingerie and Junior’s departments. I not only worked with some incredible professionals, I also discovered a passion for great customer service.
I have been involved in Real Estate for over three years, with the last year and a half helping to make dreams come true as a sales agent in a new home subdivision.
